All right. In this video, I just want to show how I order SSL certificate. This puts the https at the… here, I’m going to show you right now. See, if you got the little https or the SSL installed on your website, domain, your website address, and you’re going to have this little padlock here. So Google of course, has an SSL on their domain. Big West Marketing, my company here, we have the little padlock on our domain, so we know it’s good to go. But I do know that this website does not, so it says not secure. So why do we want to get an SSL? Number one, it’s good for SEO, google likes it when you have an SSL installed and also some people will see this not secure, and they’ll feel like your website isn’t safe to be on, so it’s good to just have it either way, it’s very inexpensive and we can set it up for you if you are one of our clients.
So you can go to GoDaddy and you can pay $70 a year, but we found this other company called comodosslstore.com, and it looks like this. You can get the same exact thing that GoDaddy will sell you for $70 a year, you can get this version over here called a Positive SSL for $7 a year, so basically 90% off compared to what you’ll pay for pay with GoDaddy. So GoDaddy is great for domains, Comodo SSL Store is great for the SSL certificate.
So let’s go through this process and purchase one of these and go, add to cart. And I recommend going for five years, for this demonstration, I’m just going to do one year, so I don’t spend too much money. I don’t even know if I’m going to use this one. I’m just doing it for you guys. Okay, and so what I’m going to do is add to cart. I’m going to skip ahead so that I don’t show you guys my credit card information. So I placed the order there, and now I need to complete the order. I already put my credit card number in. And this is really important, this is where you’re going to set your password, okay?
I’ve seen in the past where I’ve had clients, for some reason, they don’t see that set the password screen and I’m not sure exactly what’s going on with that. If you run into that situation where you don’t have an option to set the password, that’s not okay, you need to get the password set. I would call this number right away, get your password set up, because you’re going to have to send your username and your password over to us. We’re going to need to log into your Comodo account in order to set this up for you. It’s not easy to set these up, we’ve been it for years and years, so we’ve gotten pretty good at it and we do it for all of our clients, so our clients don’t have to worry about this at all.
But you will need to set the password, and then send us the username and the password, or call us and give us the username and password over the phone, whatever you’re comfortable with. And that’s it, that’s how you purchase that, okay? You don’t have to do anything else. If you’re a client, you don’t have to do anything else. If you’re not our client, you’re going to have to go Google around, YouTube around on how to install an SSL certificate onto your domain. And that’s it.
