I want to talk about something that is very important and crucial to your success with SEO, Search Engine Optimization, let’s get started right now.
What I’m talking about right now is usernames and passwords for your most important accounts. So what happens is we bring on an SEO client, and then we say, “Hey, we need your username and password for these three accounts, Google My Business, Facebook and Yelp.” That’s what Google looks at, it needs those three accounts in order for us to really build that foundation and get started. If you’re doing your own SEO, you need to pay attention too, because you will need those account logins to get in there and make sure that everything is foundationally sound. If you’re working with somebody else besides Big West, they are going to need that stuff too if they are doing actual, real, solid SEO work, they’re going to need that, and they’re going to need it upfront.
If you wait a month or two to get that to us, you’re wasting hundreds of dollars. There’s little things we can do on the back end and stuff like that, but most of the upfront foundational work that kicks off your SEO campaign and gets you ranking in Google as fast as possible, requires your username and password for your Google My Business account, for your Facebook business account or your Facebook account, because your business account is tied to that, and your Yelp business account. If you don’t have the passwords on each one of those, you can go in there and click on their I forgot my password, and get the email sent to you, and reset the password.
