All right, so I’m calling this the Five Star Knockout Method, because we’re knocking out the competition. And what this really means is, yes, you’re going to make more money. Yes, you’re going to earn the trust of your clients, and you’re going to dominate your area. But there’s three other small little hidden benefits of getting a more positive reviews, I’m going to show you right now.
Number one, it can get you higher Google rankings. It can help with your SEO. That’s one of the factors. Number two, if you’re doing ad-words, it’s like putting turbo boosters on ad-words because you can actually, if you do it right, you can display the reviews in your ad, make your ad bigger and actually lower your cost per-click. A lot of people don’t realize that. Number three, you can, with the new Google local service ads … It’s an approval process. You have to apply, and even have a Google employee approve your application. And what they’re looking for are top quality businesses. They’re looking for the best businesses in your city that can use this ad service. All right? Now, the way they decide that, one of the big factors is reviews.
So, how many reviews you have, how many positive reviews you have, and then most importantly, how many genuine reviews. If they see any kind of fake stuff, you’re out. So, what we want to do is start getting real, genuine, positive reviews. And the good news is, like I said before, 95% of local businesses have no review system in place. This is a huge opportunity right now that will not be here in a year or two. Get on this now, because everybody’s going to be jumping on this bandwagon before long. People are starting to realize, other power washing companies are starting to realize how powerful this actually is.

I’m going to let you guys know exactly how you can access all five of these videos for free at the end, so stay tuned. Now, here we go. We’re talking about the three simple ways to get reviews. I got three systems I use for my service business that I sold back in 2014, that I’ve used, that I’ve tested, that I know works. So get a pen and paper and write this stuff down. This is huge. Simple method number one is feedback cards.
So you’re going to get business cards that say, “Thank you for choosing our service.” And then on the other side of that business card, you’re going to have three steps, and you’re going to ask people to leave a review, but to take three steps.
First step is going to be go to our website. So then you’re going to send them to your website. You’re going to make sure your web designer has this button on your website that says, “Leave a Google review.” And you’re going to tell them to click on that button. That button’s going to take them to a specific section on your Google page. It’s going to allow them to leave a review. And I’m going to show you how to get to that link here shortly.
So it’s three steps. Now, the key is this, it’s to tell them what to do, don’t expect them to just do it. Because I’ve seen people use these cards before, but they don’t have step-by-step instructions on how to do it. So it’s like one out of 10 people actually go and leave a review.
You know how hard it is to get Google reviews, okay? You ask 10 people to give you a review, one might do it if you’re lucky. If you have these cards, all of a sudden you’ve just increased it by double, triple, maybe quadruple the amount of people that do it. Like one out of two, one out of three. To get these business cards, just go to vistaprintdeals.com, there’s a little design program in there where you can set it up just the way you want. If you need help with it, then you need to find somebody, but it’s a very easy program to use. But if you need help, you’re going to need to find somebody, a family member or somebody that that can help you with that.
Simple method number two, the power template. This is all about sending an email after every job. Now, what you can do is you can pause this video, get your pen and paper and write this down word-for-word. Copy this email because I found this on a website one time, I used it for my cleaning business, and it works like gangbusters. You don’t need to change anything. You just need to copy this word-for-word. Screenshot it if you know how to do that, the point is, get this email ready to go. Now, the key to this one is to get a routine, get a system going. After every job, you should have a list of things you do. You know, to wrap up each job. And one of those should be to send this specific email out. Okay? And in that email, you’re also going to have a link over to a specific page into your Google account, which I’m going to show you how to do, like I said.
But let’s move on to simple method number three. We’re going to text it. So we gave them cards physically, we sent them an email. Now we’re going to send them a text. Okay, I like this. I found this picture on the Internet. I thought it was hilarious of this guy, just super excited that he got a review for using his smartphone. And it really is that easy, guys. All you have to do is send a text that says, “Hi, It was great working for you today. Would you take a moment to leave a review on my Google page? Here is the link.” And then you paste that link in there.
Now, the big sticking point for all three of these methods is, How do we get that specific link that takes people directly to where they need to go to leave the review? I’m going to show you how to do that now. So take notes on this as well.
Step one, get your smart phone out. Go to google.com and search for your business name. You’re going to find your Google page there. Step two, you’re going to click on the little reviews tab right here, and you’re going to scroll down where it says rate and review on Google, and you’re going to click on star number five.
Then you’re going to come to this screen, that has all five stars, gold. Make sure all five stars are gold, and you’re going to just tap on the little address at the top of your browser there, and you’re going to click on copy. Then you’re simply going to go to your email program on your phone. You’re going to send an email to yourself and you’re going to tap in here and click paste.
And you’re going to get this big, giant, obnoxious website address. I don’t know why Google makes it so long and ridiculous, but they do. But that’s the address that you’re going to put right here. That’s where you’re gonna put, here’s the link. You’re going to paste it in there. You’re also gonna paste it in your email. You’re also going to link to it from this little button that I showed you on the website, that you’re gonna have your web designer put on there.
The reason you’re emailing it to yourself, is so you can have it handy anytime you need it. To text it, email it, whatever you need to do, send it over to your web designer, whatever. That’s why you’re emailing it to yourself, so you can have it handy, so you don’t need to go through this process every time you need to get that link.
