In order to move up the ranks of Google, you’ll need a website that’s built out and structured properly for Google. This means a specific page on your website for not just “Soft Washing” and “Pressure Washing” but also “Roof Cleaning” and “House Washing” and “Driveway Cleaning.”
Give yourself a chance to appear in the search results! Think about that potential client, sitting at home on their laptop, typing in “Roof Cleaning services near me.” That’s your target!
Educating the public on Soft Washing benefits
Now, let’s say you’ve got some traffic coming to your website, maybe from SEO, maybe from flyers or mailers, the next step is EDUCATING.
This potential customer knows what he needs (his roof cleaned), he just doesn’t know how it’s going to get done.
This is your time to educate, teach these browsers why they need your services. Why go with you and not the other guy who offers the $99 Special.
Do you have a “Difference between Soft Washing & Pressure Washing” page?
Do you have a “Benefits of Soft Washing” page?
Explain to these home owners or business owners that Soft Washing is a highly effective practice that’s also safe for their property. They’ll love to hear that you are not going to damage their investments.
This step will also plant a little bug in their head, that safety is a real concern when it comes to an exterior cleaner. “Shingles ripping off?? I never thought of that!”

In the future, well in the perfect-future, Google will eventually set up a “Soft washing service” category. But don’t hold your breath (we here at Big West Marketing are still waiting for a “Rug cleaning” category and it’s been almost a decade!).
But until then, if you want to reach new customers and build your soft washing business, you need to follow these rules. Add-on some good ol’ fashion marketing, like banging on doors and handing out flyers, and you’ll be in good shape!
You never want to rely on one lead generation source or start passing blame around. This is your business after all, no one else will be left to answer for it’s success or failure at the end of the day.
